For UK companion animal practices
The CMA Order requires every practice to publish a full price list, one click from the homepage, with every weight band showing and every price including VAT. estimate.vet turns your fee schedule into a full price list for your fees page and a live estimate builder your clients will actually use.
What you actually get is one short piece of code for your practice’s prices page. Whoever looks after your website adds it to that page, and the page shows your whole list, every weight band and VAT stated, with an estimate builder your clients can use. We host none of your website and change nothing else on it.
No AI. No guesswork. Your prices, exactly as you set them.
| Weight band | Procedure |
|---|---|
| Small dog (under 10 kg) | £285 |
| Medium dog (10 to under 25 kg) | £340 |
| Large dog (25 to under 40 kg) | £415 |
| Extra-large dog (40 to under 60 kg) | £495 |
| Giant dog (60 kg and over) | £580 |
The procedure alone, including VAT. Take-home items are priced separately and shown on the full list. Updated 12 August 2026.
How it works
Your prices are already in your practice system. Getting them onto your website takes three steps, and only the last one needs your web developer.
Save your price list from your practice management system as a file or a spreadsheet, and we load it for you. Nobody rekeys anything. If you run Provet Cloud, the console can read your item list. Or type your prices in yourself.
Pick what goes on your list. Where one price is several lines in your practice system, such as euthanasia with cremation, link them into one bundle. Then press Publish. A checklist has to go green first: every band priced and VAT status stated. Every publish is dated and the previous version kept.
You get a short piece of code for your prices page. Send it to whoever looks after your website and they add it to that one page. It works on whatever your site is built with, and we never touch the rest of it.
For your web developer
Send them the code and the address of your prices page. On WordPress there is a plugin instead: download it, paste your token, and the table keeps itself current when you publish. If you have nobody to send it to, talk to us and we will get your fees page updated for you.
<script src="https://embed.estimate.vet/v1/w.js" defer></script>
<div data-estimate-vet="k7m2q9xr4np8vt3wjd6h">
<!-- your published price list, as plain HTML -->
</div>We give you the price list HTML that goes inside the div: the script turns it into the estimate builder, and if the script never runs the full band table is still on the page.
Prices from your practice system
The console can read a Provet Cloud item list and show you what would change. Your fees page never changes without you. For any other system, put this to your supplier:
Do you plan to offer a price-list export we can publish to our website, for the CMA price transparency requirements?
One ticket from a paying practice carries further than anything we send them. If you are a practice system, talk to us about the format.
Why now
Practices must publish prices for consultations, out-of-hours, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, routine dentistry, common scans and diagnostics, common surgical procedures, parasiticides, and euthanasia with cremation. The list has to be no more than one click from your homepage, through a clearly labelled link, on a page named for prices or fees, and easy to find without scrolling far.

What you get
Output one
Every weight band shown and VAT stated, on your own fees page. The list is written into the page itself, not loaded in afterwards. That matters because the comparison sites pet owners are about to start using can only read what is written into the page.
Output two
Species, breed, weight and what is wrong, turned into an itemised estimate. Consultations quote a range rather than a single figure, because a single figure for diarrhoea is a fiction the first bill exposes.
What your clients see
Real logic, sample prices. Pick a reason and a breed, and watch both outputs update: the estimate on the right, the published band table underneath.
| Weight band | Procedure | Usually added | Estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small dog (under 10 kg) | £285 | £68 | £353 |
| Medium dog (10 to under 25 kg) | £340 | £68 | £408 |
| Large dog (25 to under 40 kg) | £415 | £68 | £483 |
| Extra-large dog (40 to under 60 kg) | £495 | £68 | £563 |
| Giant dog (60 kg and over) | £580 | £68 | £648 |
Every band shows, whatever the client selected. That is the part the Order requires, and the part a calculator on its own does not satisfy.
The same thing again, on an example practice site we built for the purpose, with its own branding and typography. It picks up their font and their colours, and the price list underneath is real HTML that is still there with JavaScript switched off.
Step 2, up close
This is your side of it. You enter what you charge, and a checklist has to go green before anything reaches your website. Nothing is averaged against other practices, and any price worked out is worked out from your own figures: what a plan member pays from the discount you set, VAT on a figure from your practice system, and the practice system lines you link to one price.

Preventive
Service type
Surgery and dental involve anaesthesia, so only those ask about theatre items. Parasiticides and fees are list-only: they must be published, but nobody builds a visit estimate around them.
Price
Cats sit in one band, so they get one price rather than five you do not charge. Bands marked written cross £500 and may need a written estimate. For parasiticides we supply the product, and the weight range its name gives, from the VMD register; the price is yours, and a pack you have not priced will not publish.
Pet Health Plan
What you say about it seeded, rewrite it in your own voice
Off by default. Your published prices never change when this is on. Saying members pay less is a savings claim, so the Order asks for more than the list: a link beside the claim to a page that shows how the saving is worked out. While this is on, and once you have told the console what your plan costs and covers, each publish writes that page, and the line says members pay less only when the page has a saving to show. We seed the wording to start you off. We never seed a price.
The honest bit
Nothing here infers anything. A breed and a weight resolve to a band, and the band resolves to a price you set. That is the entire mechanism, and it is deliberate: your clients have just been told by the regulator that vet pricing is opaque. A black box is the last thing your fees page needs.
And what it will not do
That duty is a per-animal document, issued after examination and re-issued if the price changes significantly. A public calculator is a price indication, not that document. Anyone telling you a website widget discharges it is selling you a problem.
You do. We do not benchmark you, nudge you, or publish you into a comparison table you did not ask to be in.
Your site stays exactly where it is, built by whoever built it. This is one short piece of code on one page.
Pricing
Trade coverage puts the cost of complying with the Order at several thousand pounds a practice. This is not that. Nothing is charged before the deadline for independent practices.
Until 23 March 2027
Free
no card, no commitment
Everything, for every practice. That date is the deadline for independents, so this covers you through the part that matters.
After that
£10 a month
per practice, plus VAT, billed monthly
Sign up by 23 March 2027 and this price is guaranteed for as long as you stay subscribed without a break. If you already have an account, that includes you. Change your prices whenever you need to, as often as you need to, at no extra cost. For a practice that signs up after that date the price is not set yet. It will stay under £1 a day, the ceiling this page has carried since 2 September 2026.
Or included
£0
while we manage your website
If Big Data Synergy looks after your practice site, estimate.vet comes with it at no extra cost. Care plans start at £35 a month.
The price table is real HTML on your own server, so it stays up, and the estimate builder is the only thing that stops. A link to the list on our server is the one route that depends on us, so put the HTML on your site before you go. Export the HTML and your prices page carries on exactly as it is; export the JSON as well, and if you come back later it is one import rather than keying in the whole schedule a second time.
Per practice. Prices exclude VAT. Multi-site groups and corporates, talk to us and we will work something sensible out.
For PMS suppliers
We are defining a JSON format for veterinary price and estimate data. We would rather define it with the systems practices already use than at them, so if you build a practice management system, a booking platform or anything that already holds a fee schedule, we would like to hear from you.
So a practice never rekeys a fee schedule to publish it, and their published list cannot drift from what they actually bill. Keeping the published prices current is the part the Order cares about, and a hand-maintained list drifts the first time someone raises a fee and forgets the website.
Dispensed products are the heaviest part of the Order to maintain by hand. They are priced per pack and per practice, and Bravecto alone is eight packs across dogs and cats before anyone reaches the wormers. We already take product identity, and the weight range a product's name gives, from the VMD register, so what we need from you is a price against a VMD product number and the amount that price buys: how many tablets, pipettes or collars. It is also the part of a fee schedule that changes most often.
A client works out what they need on the practice website, and it arrives in your estimate workflow as a draft for a vet to review. Never issued automatically, never without examination. We prepare, a clinician decides.
How it is shaped
There is no common estimate format across UK veterinary systems, and we are not pretending ours is one. It is a starting point, and it is easier to change now than after the first integration ships.

We are onboarding a small number of independent practices first, loading their fee schedules by hand so the service taxonomy is right before it is automated. If that suits you, get in touch and we will set yours up.
